It's one thing to criticize when it's deserved, but it's another to call names and rant based on ignorance of the facts. The fundraiser is for Zydetech, not LITE, and the two entities are not related at all. Every single press release says who the event is for. P

Zydetech is a volunteer organization with no budget that came out of the Chamber of Commerce. It's a pretty loosely put together group with no employees, just volunteers. They dont' receive any government funding, so there goes your conspiracy theory. It's been around for about 8 or 10 years, and mostly does public meetings that anyone can attend where they bring in technology people to speak to the public about topics such as data security, effective websites, and many other things to do with technology for business. They also organized volunteers to wire many of the local public schools to the internet, using hardware donated by local companies. I don't think they do that good a job in communicating to the masses, but they're definitely not government.

I surely did not know that. Why doesn't the chamber fork over some funds ? A joke, I know. I agree that volunteer organizations such as this are a good thing. People helping people without government. what a novel idea.
