I think the article was fair in general. it is apparent that Durel , as many of our politicians, has chosen the invisible route and only chooses to expose himself to the public when it suits that particular issue. I think the writer should have condemned J'nelle Chargois for not opposing the reverend from New Orleans who threatened violence; She is, after all, the head of the NAACP in this area. I think Marc Mouton was correct in his assessment of the group brought in by Williams, they were a peanut gallery. I also think the governor should have removed Williams from his state position, because were he white, she probably would have. There is a growing double standard in this country where race baiting is a one way street, and if you are of minority descent, you can say or do as you please, whereas a white must be super considerate. Where do we draw the line ? Must we name a street after Chavez, the guy who organized the grape pickers, because there are now more Latinos than blacks in this country.
Williams is just plain wrong and the DA should have charged him with a felony. The judge could always reduce the charge if warranted. Do all these people kiss the governors butt ?

Good article, a writer with the gonads to tell the truth about these individuals that believe they are above everyone else.
