Just did a lil research on the newest "industry" coming to Lafayette. It's a junkyard (now look, I know a few people who have made millions in the "junkyard" business, so I ain't raggin on them ok?). Also I happen to enjoy restoring vehicles and do work on my daily driver so I'll propably stop by there myself. Looks like the company will bring in about 2,000 wrecked cars for us to pull parts from. I'm not sure if junkyards are considered hi-tech though, maybe next time I see dunce I might ask him that...

They also didn't get any government money to come here. Funny how name-callers like you want to blame anything you consider bad on the administration, and anything good that happens, you just poke imaginary holes in it. Did the article say anything about Lafayette recruiting this business to come to town? I am definitely not defending the parts dealer here, although Galbert Road is the perfect place for it. Nothing but junk over there these days anyway.
Why not stop with the name-calling and just have an intelligent discussion?

hahahahaha Guess I have been assigned a keeper. I hate taxes, I don't like anyone taxing or preparing to tax me more. Name calling? What names? Liberals disguised as republicans? I think anyone who openly advocates taxing people more should be required to publically file a "disclosure form" stating whether they, anyone related to them,or any business they or their family own, do business or recieve ANY compensation whatsoever(food, beverage, travel, salary, rent subsidies, business etc.) from the government that is proposing the taxes.

I read up on this junkyard company. They will strip cars clean, then neatly line them up and keep track of the parts. It appears as though they have Sanford & Son beat. Abbd, I also enjoy working on cars from time to time, so I guess I'll see you there!
As a side note, I am for taxes to a certain extent. If my tax dollars go toward free (good) healthcare for me and my family...I'm for it. But if my taxes go toward mardi gras beads...I'm against it.

Coolboy, a few years back when I was into redoing British trash Lol(Triumphs, MGs and Healys(man, I wish I would have kept a few of those austin healys, some are worth a fortune now))(heck I actually owned a trashy Rolls Royce for a while(now those freaking parts will put ya in the poor house for sure))I spent quite a few hours "pulling" my own parts over at Aziz's on the poor side of cajundome blvd. Now that was an experience!"look, there's a spitfire over there, what's left on it??" LOL good ole days for sure. Hey I like junk yards, reminds me of being a kid again. I could tell many stories about experiences in british trash! LOL
