The first go around I chose not to vote for Jindel, only because Mike Foster said he supported him. This time a crook from St. Martinville, greedy for lots and lots money, no matter how he gets it posted a sign in his yard 2 weeeks before Bobby said he would run. There goes the election again.

If it were Jindal versus Blankstare, Jindal has my vote. I would prefer to have Kennedy or Ieyoub as governor and Jindal replace Ms Landrieu. Jindal might just get the Blankstares back for 4 more years.

No matter how we look at it the rich and greedy are looking for a favor before election time even starts. They will pay what ever it takes to keep their stealing Power alive.

I guess yall also saw how Blankstare is on the offensive now trying to rid herself of the Katrina screw up by blaming everyone but her adminisration. I wonder how come it took Jindal to announce for governor before she came out with these questions about Louisiana not getting thier fair share of the money. If people cant see straight through her, that it is a political move, they are blind. I am sure our Louisiana government is a laughing stock down at the white house.

Well 'Bear, Louisiana government is a laughingstock here in Louisiana. If Blankstare would simply come out and say "I made a series of bad mistakes and was so overwhelmed by the magnitude of the disaster I did not use good judgement, but I have fired all of my advisors, including Raymond, and will try and right this ship"my respect for her would increase tenfold. That will not happen. If she would resign her job, I would respect her even more.
I do not believe a thing Michael Brown has to say on any topic. He failed to do his job, just like Kat Blanco. They can both squirm and lie all they want, the fact remains that a large segment of New Orleans is still uninhabitable, and their failures have a lot to do with that. New Orleans, like it or not, is the only reason Louisiana is on the map or significant to the USA, and by our letting this happen, we are endorsing incompetence.
A real governor or even a real mayor (not a Nagin or Durel) would have taken charge and made plans for recovery already. This is over a year and a half. Why do we tolerate this "road home" fiasco. Why doesn't the legislature remove the governor's control ? She clearly cannot manage a 3.2 billion dollar project, and the firm she hired cannot justify earning 20% of the project cost no matter how many travel bills they present. $75 million dollars earned already and not even $1 million paid out yet ? This is not Bush's fault, nor FEMA's. This is Blanco; she should be removed for incompetence. I am sure there is a bit of corruption involved here. Why not a Louisiana firm - at least that would cut out the millions in first class air fare.

Maybe a cool million went to Brown to make that statement, to help her get relected.

I've been reading that the governor of Mississippi, Haley Barbour, has gotten tons of government funds for his state after Katrina. Mr. Barbour is the former chairman of the Republican National Committee and Blanco is an inept Democrat governor. Ray Nagin is an inept Democrat mayor. Richard Jefferson...nuff said. Nagin and Jefferson were re-elected, but I don't think Blanky has a chance.
If Blanco wins, then Cox's service rates will decrease and oil will cost $1.05 a gallon, which means that hell has officially frozen over.

I am disappointed that our governor is taking the low road and pointing fingers everywhere except herself. I'll bet she tells Jindal congratulations on the new baby and hope that he is not as unfortunate as her because she lost a child. Any way to bring that up and gain sympathy from the voters.
She is an embarrassment. Nagin is an embarrassment. As for Jefferson, think how bad his opponent must have been to lose to his sorry butt ! She must have had a horrible reputation. Louisiana can go nowhere but up if we replace these sorry sob's.
I wonder how much Raymond is shoving his way ? Why else would an out of state firm (Virginia)be hired to administer the "Road Home" program at 20% of 3.1 billion when they had never handled a project like this before. We have people in Louisiana that are just as inept.

It is not about fixing it is about stealing. These people will get rich and the kick backs will come in their GLORY and no one will be helped but the same ol rich bunch of crooks. Where are the FEDS. when all this stealing is going on. Who is watching the money? You know La. is the riches state in the nation in it's natural resources, but our great leaders let the BIG LAND OWNERS reap the money from our oil and gas resources. We are last in everything and first in corruption. We have the RICHES politicians on earth but we are last in everything. These people are addicted to stealing so at any cost they will keep their power. Money is no problem for these people. They have gotten so rich they buy who ever they want. Maybe we should see if they would like to go to iraq to save their oil because they do not care about us.
