I was under the impression that there was a law about the use of headlights. Just before daylight, dusk, and during rain and fog, you continue to see many cars driving without headlights. I have yet to see, or hear, of anybody being stopped or ticketed for this. Between this, and red light violations, we seem to want to wait until someone gets seriously injured or killed. I can't understand why these things go unnoticed. They are both extremely dangerous. They keep saying they are cracking down on the red light crashing, but I have yet to see anyone pulled over on the far side of an intersection.

I was stopped once by a LPD officer downtown for that very thing. The amusing thing was that the LPD officer did not have his lights on either. I pointed that out to him, he denied it, I walked him to front of his car, he was embarrassed. I did not get a ticket. I told him if he gave me one, I would give him one. He said be careful.
