Here we go again, another round at the boxing tournament. Sooner or Later there is going to be some physical sparring and everyone is going to end up in jail.
I sure hope the new business leaders in the area that relocated their businesses here nor the new tax paying residents were watching, if they were they must really think highly of Lafayette.
That should help attract businesses here.

I saw the replay last night and was laughing so hard I couldn't stop. I have never seen such foolishness by an elected group in my life. And that new litter law is really something. I think I'm going to follow some of my least favorite friends around town and try to catch them littering! LOL The really sad thing about our entire LCG is they are supposed to lead us into the future. These people actually pass laws and raise our taxes, scary to me! Please vote NO to any tax increase this group proposes. I think watching the LCG in action( either in person or on AOC) should be made mandatory to all college and high school students. I was just reading some of Mr. Durel's old campaign literature (thanks voltar) and he stated he was a "leader", wonder if he takes credit for leading this group?

You're right about the litter law, ridiculous, the state law covers it so its just repetetive. Just think of the guy that cuts you off in traffic talk about vengeance. There was alot of discussion when Mark Pope said that state law does not cover a civilian writing an affidavit against a person for littering thats why he wanted this law, well Mark Pope needs to do a better job at his home work, here is the state law regarding the writing of the ticket: CCRP 211.3 211.3. Littering; citation or summons by peace officer instead of arrest; affidavits A. When a peace officer has reasonable grounds to believe a person has committed an offense of littering under the provisions of R.S. 30:2531 through 2531.3, he shall issue a written citation or summons to the offender in accordance with law, commanding him to appear and answer the charge. B. For the purposes of this Section, reasonable belief may be based upon an affidavit completed on a form provided by any sheriff or the chief of police of the city of New Orleans for such purpose, containing the sworn statement of any Louisiana citizen of the age of majority, deposing that the citizen witnessed an act of littering, and particularly describing the offender and any vehicle or watercraft involved. Any form provided by a sheriff or the chief shall be pre-addressed and returnable to such sheriff or chief of police. Acts 1989, No. 712, §1; Acts 1992, No. 360, §2; Acts 1998, 1st Ex. Sess., No. 148, §9. Taken from: www.legis.state.la.us/Kinda got off subject but just passing it on. And your right we need to show our future leaders in school how our government is working. They need to tape it and bring it into class.
