I like it sounds good. Finally there is someone, Jindal, who is going to work to get Louisiana some money and Landrieu wants to step on the bandwagon in time for elections, when she and breaux should have been doing their job for years. And as far as fire all the republicans, like that writer stated, is a comment made by an idiot with no comprehension of what a good leader, democrat, republican, or independent, can do for Louisiana.

Nick, I think Pres Bush has been going and is doing a great job. The Illegals have been coming through for quite some time. Why didn't Clinton put a stop to it; too busy with Monica? The economy is doing great; better than with Clinton was in. I like receiving the extra money from taxes that Mr. Bush helped us with. The war in Iraq is bad but it is better over there than here. We need to finish it. I think there should be a law, "TREASON" That Jane Fonda, Sheehan, Alex Bladwin and many others should be charged with. I think it is time the news media should report the news not create it (Dan Rather). I wish we could keep out the Illegals, like pay penalty fines and jail time for anyone hiring the Illegals. We would not need walls or fences to keep them out. The problem would take care of it self. Taureau

The truth is no one really wants to stop illegals, or we would make it a crime to enter the country illegally, a crime to employ illegals (not a little fine), and a crime to house them. If they come, and become legal they need to learn our culture, AND LANGUAGE. I am so d**n tired of "press two for English".
The other side of the coin, is these people want to work (go to NO,La) unlike many of our citizens who do not.
As for treason, I do not agree with Ms Sheehan, Alex Baldwin nor Ms Fonda, however, I will defend their right to say what they want. They were born here, and do not have to agree with anyone. As for going to Vietnam and siding with the enemy, Ms Fonda should have been denied the right to return to USA as she was clearly aiding the enemy through propaganda. It is not a question over the ethics or lagality of the war. Kennedy decided to invest troops, we did, and LBJ increased effort. I did not like war, but that does not justify giving aid and comfort to an enemy of the state.
As for the walls, and fences; the gauge of the desireability of a country is that fence, and which way the people are going over it. It is obvious that people want to be on our side of the fence. If they are allowed in, they should assimilate. If not, leave. Look at the Vietnamese. I wish all immigrants were more like that; strong family, educate youth, work hard try and adopt our culture, learn language.

Let's put the illegals to work on litter patrol, cleaning public buildings, cutting grass and things like that. Be our guest at the old graybar hotel for a few months. Then send them home. I do not think they are coming here to work for free. That way, they would earn their keep in jail as well as provide a service to government. Maybe we could draft them into the service, and use them as minesweepers or similar, particularly the illegals from the middle eastern countries. I bet they would be less likely to return and stay illegally.
