Now that joey has gotten his latest scam voted in, I fully expect a "full court press" against any citizen who is willing to stand against the collectivists and their socialistic agenda. I saw this morning's fish wrap(aka joey's news service) taking a none too veiled slap at two citizens who had the "nerve" to question joey and his cohorts(in my opinion we can expect the hahaha local republican exec comm to issue a statement soon further endorsing joey's collectivist agenda). I'm sure the other members of JNS(joey's news service). channels 10 and 3(thank God we don't have more than two local tv news outlets) will get their daily talking points from joey and we will soon see report after report on how important it is to stifle the dissent. You must not question "the leader".

Shoot, I just realized something. You know that CP Presidnet in front of joey's name, I always assumed that it stood for city parish presidnet.... Boy was I wrong, it stands for "central planning president" how appropriate. Yep joey said he'd do more with less, he really meant he'd do less with more. Send dee and joey more money, they want a better Christmas party this year.

abbd, when he said do more with less, i believe he was referring to less intellect, more taxpayer abuse. There really is no change from the Comeaux administration. New faces, same old, same old. We should have put Ed Roy in 8 years ago. That would have rocked some boats.
I am anxious to see how many road projects get completed with this additional bonding authority. My guess, same as under Comeaux, none. Only the bonding counsel will come out on top.

Two interesting editorials in the Advertiser this Monday. One from Decker stating what we all know; not many of us trust the Parish Government to do what it says it will do with our money. The other editorial was about the Sheriff, Dr Neustrom seeking national accreditation for the Sheriff's Office. That is what I would expect from an educator involved in law enforcement; focus on bs and ignore the reason you are there; prevent crime and keep people who break the law in jail to protect society and make people feel safe. There have been numerous posts referencing the rising crime in Lafayette and I have yet to see what is being done to address the problem. Our chief's of police have committed felonies (Copes & Hundley - Copes had a phd.) Bells and whistles do not help victims of crime. I would prefer to have a Harry Lee type of sheriff, one who is very proactive and visible rather than one who would prefer to focus on non-productive matters, spending resources on compliance with 447 requirements for said achievement to puff himself up, but where is the benefit to the average citizen? The accredited jail (accredited under previous administration) has seen more dead inmates in the past 5 years than the previous 20. I did not see our fine newspaper ask what this process costs, but I know the Sheriff must pay to be accredited. I know how I feel about an award I have to pay for to get. The St Martin Parish Sheriff was accredited several years ago, and that Sheriff was "Sheriff of the Year" as stated on a large granite plaque outside the office, yet there was a riot and that sheriff had to resign as a result of the fracas. Point is, other than the fluff, what was gained for the parish, for the deputies, and for the citizens?
