I recently stopped in at Shawn's on Verot School Rd, boy what a mistake. The Cracklin tasted like it was fried in old grease and was very very greasy, leaked thru the bag causing it to break. And the BOUDIN was the nastiest food I have ever put into my mouth... It was not what I consider Boudin, hard chunks of boiled pork, little or no rice, just down right disgusting.... I DO NOT recommend this place!!!!!

that does not sound good. if you are going to pay $9.00 a pound for cracklin go to don's in scott or carencro. they serve the best cracklin or boudin around here

I really like Don's in Sunset and like it off of I-10 next to Cajun Harley Davidson. They do boudin and cracklings really good. I have not tried Earl's but it is close to me; so I will give them a try and I will tell them that you recommended it. Thanks. Taureau P.S. I never tried Shawn's and I don't think I will after reading your post. Thanks, Taureau
