Hey T-Bear, What is this, "Full Member, New Member, Guest? How do you become Full Member? How long does one be a "New Member as Opposed to a Full Member? Are all of these positions self appointed or is there board members that vote on this? How does it work? Please explain. I talked with a few people that said you and the other "Administrators" were appointed by The Lafayette Daily Advertiser; Is that correct?

Mr Taureau you sent me a pm in reference to this and I sent you one back, please check your messages.
This is what you asked in my pm "T-Bear, Comment Ce Fait? Pourquoi, "new members, Junior member, 1 Star, Full Member"? What is up with that? How does a person become a full member or even your title? Is this because you paid someone, work for, or donated to? I am just curious by nature. Please explain privately. Merci, Taureau"
This message board has nothing to do with the Advertiser and never will, although I post links to articles from the advertiser website I dont get delivery of the paper to my home becuase it is too biased and like someone else that posts here calls it "fish wrap". My board is privately ran by myself and another administrator. The advertiser has its own message board, or forum, which ever you like to call it, and I also post there under the same name as you do.
Now to explain again as in the message I sent you. This free message board program was designed by the proboards staff, they are the ones that created the names of administrator, full member etc. Below is the rating system on what someones position is in the board after the amount of post you make or you are an administrator.
500 or more posts or admin = 5 gold stars 250 or more posts= senior member 4 gold stars 100 or more posts = full member 3 gold stars 50 or more posts = junior member 1 green star 0 or more posts = new member 1 blue star Guests = unregistered member
Those are the default settings assigned by proboards.
I have some control over certain things like locking out guests posting requiring someone to register before posting, but I have not locked this board at this point in time but may in the future. I may also lock out viewing the board unless someone is a registered member and has to log in to read anything here. But for now it will remain open to anyone who wishes to read or post.
On a side note I wish someone would pay me to operate this but my passion for starting this free community was for traffic and then it expanded from there.
If you have other questions I will try to answer them for you.
merci de demander
